Sunday, September 25, 2016 – ICE Dec Futures Post 279 Point Weekly Gain

The ICE Dec contract gave up 164 points on Fri, settling at 70.07, but still managed a 279 point advancement on the week. The Mar contract lost 139 points at 70.43, the net effect leaving the Dec – Mar spread weakened, but far below full carry, at (36). Volume for Dec delivery slowed at approximately 15.7K lots while Dec expanded at just above 165.5K contracts.

Friday, September 23, 2016 – US Cotton Export Sales Remain Ahead of Pace to Meet USDA Projection

Volume for Dec delivery slowed at just above 19K lots while Dec OI expanded at just above 161K contracts. However, ICE cotton has experienced weakness in early trading action on Thu evening.
