The Mar contract lost 24 points, settling at 64.77, the net effect leaving the Dec – Mar spread strengthened at (39). Volume for Dec delivery slowed at approximately 12K lots traded while Dec OI was near unchanged at around 152.5K contracts.

By admin in Daily ReportsThe Dec contract gave up 100 points on Fri, as US currency surged against the British currency’s demise, settling at 64.42 – a 150 point weekly setback. The settlement was within the lower one half of the trading range. The Mar contract lost 104 points, settling at 65.01, the net effect leaving the Dec – Mar spread near unchanged at (59). Volume for Dec delivery quickened at approximately 20K lots traded while Dec OI contracted at around 152.5K contracts.
