By admin in Daily ReportsThe May contract gave up 42 points ahead of the Rogers index fund roll, settling at 57.38. The settlement was within the lower one half of today’s tight trading range. The July contract also lost 42 points, settling at 57.29, the net effect leaving the May – July spread unchanged at 9. Volume was near unchanged for May delivery at just above 9K contracts while May OI expanded at nearly 111K contracts.

By admin in Daily ReportsThe May contract picked up 8 points today, settling at 57.80. The settlement was within the upper one half of today’s tight trading range. The July contract gained 13 points, settling at 57.71, the net effect leaving the May – July spread weakened, but still inverted, at 9. Volume slowed for May delivery at just above 9K contracts while May OI contracted at approximately 110.5K contracts. Gaps remain above the market on the front month continuation chart at 58.30 – 58.38, 61.89 – 61.94, 63.91 – 63.97, 66.75 – 66.91, 67.36 – 67.39 and at 77.80 – 78.00. Dec futures picked up 12 points at 57.47.
