By admin in Daily ReportsThe May contract lost 59 points ahead of the US cotton export report and Ag Outlook forum S&D projections as the bearish continued, settling at 57.41, another new life of contract low settlement. The settlement was within the lower one quarter of the trading range. The July contract lost 97 points, settling at 57.34, the net effect leaving the May – July spread strengthened considerably, and inverted, at 7. Volume slowed for May delivery at just above 18.1K contracts while May OI expanded at nearly 117.6K contracts.

By admin in Daily ReportsThe May contract lost 69 points today as the market maintained its bearish sentiment, settling at 58.00, a new life of contract low. The settlement was within the lower one quarter of the trading range. The July contract also lost 69 points, settling at 58.31, the net effect leaving the May – July spread unchanged at (31). Volume slowed for May delivery at just above 18.5K contracts while May OI expanded at nearly 116.4K contracts.
