Mar cotton futures picked up 66 points ahead of the weekly US cotton export report to settle 59.44. The settlement was near the top of today’s tight 137 point trading range. The May contract gained 69 points, settling at 60.23, the net effect leaving the Mar – May spread near unchanged at (79).
