By admin in Daily ReportsThe ICE Mar contract gave up 75 points ahead of the belated weekly US cotton export report, settling at 70.50. The Mar contract also gained 75 points at 70.90, the net effect leaving the Mar – May unchanged at (40). Volume for Mar delivery quickened at nearly 14K lots while Mar OI contracted at around 162K contracts.
The Mar contract gapped 18 points higher on last evening’s opening bell and has yet to recover any portion of the gap.

Wednesday, December 28, 2016 – ICE Cotton Continues Slow Trade During Holiday Season

The Mar contract lost 10 points at 70.17, the net effect leaving the Mar – May spread near unchanged at (43). Volume for Mar delivery quickened slightly, but remained slow, at just below 8K lots while Mar OI contracted at around 163K contracts.
