Monday, October 31, 2016 – ICE Dec Contract Picks Up 175 Points on the Week
By admin in Daily ReportsThe ICE Dec contract picked up 106 points on Fri, amid what appeared to be trade short covering on the first day of the Rogers roll, settling at 70.82 – a 175 point weekly gain. The settlement was within the upper one quarter of the trading range. Mar gained 98 points, settling at 71.26, the net effect leaving the Dec – Mar spread strengthened once again at (44). Volume for Dec delivery quickened at approximately 16.5K lots while Dec OI contracted at just below 138K contracts.

Friday, October 28, 2016 – Dec Logs Moderate Gain Post US Export Report, Ahead of Index Rolling
By admin in Daily ReportsThe ICE Dec contract picked up 50 points on Thu, post the dissemination of fair US export sales data and poor shipment data and ahead of the Rogers roll, settling at 69.76. The settlement was within the upper one quarter of the trading range. Dec briefly touched resistance at 70.00 before exhibiting moderate weakness just prior to and during the settlement period. Mar gained 41 points, settling at 70.28, the net effect leaving the Dec – Mar spread strengthened once again at (52). Volume for Dec delivery slowed at approximately 13.3K lots while Dec OI contracted at just above 139K contracts.
