Friday, October 30, 2015 – Dec Futures Pick Up 56 Points on the Week Ahead of Damp US Weather Forecast

The settlement was within the upper one quarter of today’s trading range. Today’s results were not on par with our expectations. Mar gained 79 points, settling at 63.00, the net effect leaving the Dec – Mar spread strengthened at 31.

By admin in Weekly ReportsICE Dec futures picked up 56 points this week per a 100 point daily gain on Fri, settling at 63.32. Further, Dec futures posted a 288 point gain in Oct, despite seasonal pressures, while trading a relatively tame 479 point range.

By admin in Daily ReportsThe Dec contract gave up 35 points today on the first day of the Rogers roll and post the dissemination of disappointing US export sales and shipment data, settling at 62.32. The settlement was within the lower one quarter of today’s tight trading range. Mar lost 25 points, settling at 62.21, the net effect leaving the Dec – Mar spread weakened at 11. Volume quickened D/D in the Dec contract at approximately 12.3K contracts while Dec OI contracted at approximately 109K contracts.
